Syed Amjad Ali, 42 years, holds an MBA (Marketing/Finance) with also MA in Personal Management, he comes with more than 18 years of experience in Agri commodities. He was associated with MCX (Multi commodity Exchange of India Limited) as a product Manager – Spices for the period of 08 years (2005 to 2012) and launched futures contracts of Red Chilly – 334 and Turmeric on MCX platform. He was responsible for business development of futures market in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He started his career in Agri Commodities in the year 2000 with Society for elimination of Rural Poverty – SERP (World Bank Funder Project) as livelihood Associate. He was passionate to work under senior IAS officer. He was Responsible for procurement, value addition & marketing of various agricultural commodities like Pulses, Oil Seeds etc., from women farm cooperatives in the assigned territory. He was with them for 05 years, and was successfully implemented “Collective Marketing Concept” among women cooperatives in Mahabubnagar district- Role model for other women farm cooperatives in the country.
He is also having massive experience in Price risk management in commodity spot and future markets, procurement and trading domestic markets, supply chain management.
